Showcase Your Impact as an Author/Creator and Tell Your Research Story (Researcher Workshop Series) In-Person
Impact describes the reach and influence of a scholar’s work and is useful in self-evaluation, funding justification, recruitment, and tenure and promotion. Attend this interactive workshop on how to determine and potentially increase the reach of your scholarly work. Participants will become familiar with the scope of available metrics, learn of tools and strategies to promote impact (including citation counts, altmetrics, h-index, researcher IDs, and open access repositories), and understand some of the challenges and controversies surrounding impact metrics. The target audience for this workshop is faculty and graduate students in all disciplines, but registration is open to all.
The presenters will be Nicole Webber, UNC Business & Communication Librarian and Jen Mayer, UNC Head of Library Research Services.
